The «Science and Innovation» publishes articles and short
communications on researches, technical developments, pro-
mising business- and innovation projects, know-how in dif-
ferent trends, scientific-technical and thematic materials,
announcements on conferences, profile specialized exhibi-
tions, out-of-print scientific issues.
The Journal Subject Area
1. General questions of modern research and innovation
po licy.
2. Scientific bases of innovative activity.
3. Scientific and technical innovation projects of National
Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
4. World of innovation.
5. Legal protection of intellectual property.
Manuscript Complete Set
Manuscript should be submitted in two copies (in Uk rai-
ni an, Russian or English).
It should be accompanied by:
CD or floppy disk with text file and files containing il-
lustrations;
cover letter, signed by the head of organization where the
work has done;
copyright transfer agreement (the agreement form can be
obtained from Editorial Office or the Journal’s site).
MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION GUIDELINES
The title page should be submitted in Ukrainian, Russian
and English and should include:
1. Article title, the name(s) and initials of the aut-
hor(s).
2. The affiliation(s) and full postal address(es) of the aut-
hor(s), their phone and fax numbers, e-mail address.
3. Abstract of no more than 100 words.
4. Up to eight keywords.
Text should be typed in 12 pt with double spacing on A4
paper. The title as well as section headings should be typed
in bold capital letters.
Formulas should be presented in appropriate editor. The
papers with formulas written by hand will be rejected. It is
necessary to give definitions of values and abbreviations,
which are mentioned in the text for the first time.
Instructions for Authors
The tables should be presented on separate pages. They
should be typed using appropriate editors. Use of pseudog-
raphic symbols is not allowed.
References should be numbered according to the order
of their citing in the text. The references of unpublished and
uncompleted works are not allowed. Titles of articles, mono-
graphs, proceedings, materials of meetings, abstracts of re-
ports and thesis, preprints are indicated completely. Name of
the edition, year, volume and issue number, first and last
page should be indicated for referred article; publisher’s
place (city) and name, publication year and total number of
pages should be indicated for monograph.
Captions of figures and tables should be typed after ref-
erences.
Figures should be printed on separate papers with the
size no more than 160 × 200 mm. Text in figures should be 10
pt. Measurement units in graphs should be typed using com-
ma. All figures should be numbered as they appear in the
text, figure’s parts should be noted by letters — a, b etc. Fi-
gures should be marked on the reverse side with the paper’s
title, author(s) name and number, «up» orientation should
be marked by arrow.
Total content of theses should be up to 2 pages (number
of figures — up to 2); short communications — up to 5 pages
(number of illustrations — up to 5); articles — up to 20 pages
(number of illustrations — up to 10).
Requirements to electronic submission
1. Article electronic copy on CD (floppy disk) should be
presented simultaneously with hard copy of the article and
illustrations.
2. Manuscripts should be submitted as MS Word files.
3. Illustrations are accepted in EPS and TIFF formats
with a minimum 300 dpi resolution.
4. Photographs should be presented in TIFF format with
a minimum 300 dpi resolution.
5. Captions and texts in graphic files should be in «curve»
format.
The submitting author or customer of materials is re-
sponsible for the reliability of information published in the
Journal.
