X-th Workshop and Awards for young researchers in the field
of statistical physics and condensed matter theory
The Workshop and Awards are dedicated to the foundation of the first academic unit of the
Institute for Condensed Matter Physics, a Department for Statistical Theory of Condensed States,
in May 1969. The aim of the Workshop and Awards is to promote the studies of young researchers
in statistical physics and condensed matter theory as well as to establish scientific relations among
young researchers from different scientific centers of Ukraine.
Workshop: The X-th Anniversary Workshop will be held in Lviv at the Institute for Condensed
Matter Physics on June 3-4, 2010. Its program will include invited lectures of top experts in statis-
tical physics and condensed matter theory in Ukraine, short communications of young researchers
and contributed talks of Award applicants. The language of the Workshop is Ukrainian.
Awards: Institute for Condensed Matter Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of
Ukraine announces annual Awards for young researchers in the field of statistical physics and
condensed matter theory. The Awards were established in 2001 and this year the best studies of
young researchers will be distinguished by the X-th anniversary Award and Special Individual
awards.
• The applicants should not be older than 35 years of age at the time of application.
• Only the studies published during the last 5 years can qualify. The applied studies should
not have won any ICMP Awards for young researchers before.
