The experiments showed that when the star sky was natural and magnetic field —
artificial, sharply different from the geomagnetic one, the birds orient themselves by astroorientators. When the star sky has an unusual appearance the birds under experiment orient themselves along the direction of the horizontal component of the magnetic field. |
