Zusammenfassung:The structure of peculiarities of the osseous labyrinth of the inner ear are studied inEtngs orbicularis L., Lacerta viridis L A U R E N T I, Agama caucasica E i c h w a 1 d,. Natrix natrix L., Vipera berus L. Their osseous labyrinth as distinct from the human one, consists of one bone layer with spongy or compact tissue without a distinct osteonic structure. Gloluli ossei and interglobular spaces are not formed in the process of enchondral ossification in the labyrinth-as it takes place in the human osseous labyrinth. The osseous labyrinth tissue of the inner ear in lizards and snakes is of more complex structure, that in tortoises consists chiefly of cartiloginous tissue.
