Summary:The manor nature of the development of the Golden Horde towns has been pointed out in a number of papers devoted to their excavations. Manors of feudal nobility and prosperous townspeople occupied a considerable area. They typically consisted of an owner’s house, servants’ dwellings, and household buildings. One of such prosperous manors was excavated in 1995-2000 on Krasny Bugor which is one of the highest places of the hillfort.
