The suctorian was found colonizing the legs of the hydrachnid mites Protzia sepasgosariani and P. invalvaris. A new species differs from other species of the genus Acineta in the lorica structure, stalk morphology, the ability to hyperphoretic pseudocolonies formation and geographical distribution. |
