The ontology that provides the equal knowledge and data representation and also their semantic connectivity is used for knowledge representation model on the portal. Using the concepts determined in the ontology the inner storages of portal are built, as well as information filling, navigation and search are organized. Рассмотрен подход к созданию специализированного Интернет-портала знаний в области сопротивления материалов. Для построения модели представления знаний использована онтология, которая позволяет обеспечить единообразное преставление знаний и данных, а также их семантическую связность. С помощью понятий онтологии построены внутренние хранилища портала, организовано его информационное наполнение, навигация и поиск. Розглянуто підхід до побудови спеціалізованого Інтернет-порталу знань в області опору матеріалів. Для побудови моделі подання знань на порталі використано онтологію, яка забезпечує однакове подання знань та даних, а також їх семантичну зв’язність. За допомогою понять, визначених в онтології, побудовано внутрішні сховища порталу, організовано його інформаційне наповнення, навігацію та пошук.
