Summary:The problem of finding the electrical criteria of diamond deposits consists of two parts. The first part is to determine the presence of kimberlite pipes, which is possible due to the difference in resistances between an object in question and the surrounding matter. The second is to study the deep geoelectric sections of the Earth crust and Upper mantle in order to estimate the thickness of the lithosphere. The first part is solved by the methods of transitional processes in the superficial and aero versions and the audiomagnetotelluric sounding. It was done, for example, in South Africa, Canada, North-Western territories, in the Arkhangelsk region in Russia, and in Western Australia. The second part can be solved by deep magnetotelluric and magnetovariation soundings, as it was demonstrated by the example of the Slave craton in Canada.
