The term "firmonym" more adequately reflects the signs of the category of the proper names. One-word firmonyms are divided into two groups from the structural point of view. The first one consists of simple names, made up of one word, which cannot be separated into lexemes. The rest firmonyms are complex structures. They are represented with six models. To illustrate this English factual material is used. Key words: ergonym, firmonym, structure В данной статье авторы рассматривают структурные особенности однокомпонентных фирмонимов в английском языке. Термин "фирмоним" более адекватно отражает признаки данного вида ИС. Однословные фирмонимы делятся на две группы с точки зрения структуры. Первая группа – это простые названия, состоящие из одного слова, которое нельзя разложить на лексемы. Оставшиеся фирмонимы – это сложные образования. Они представлены шестью моделями. Для иллюстрации используется англоязычный фактический материал. Ключевые слова: эргоним, фирмоним, структура даній статтi автори разглядають структурнi особливостi однокомпонентних фiрмонiмів в англiйськiй мовi. Для відображення класу власних имен, що позначають назви комерційних підприємств, застосовується ряд термінів, наприклад – ергонім. Але термін "фірмонім" більш адекватно відображає ознаки данного вида власних імен. Під час дослідження йому було надано дефініцію: фірмонім – це розряд онімів, власне им’я комерційного підприємства, у тому чіслі промислового або торгівельного, котре має права юридичної особи. Данний клас онімів часто застосовується зі словом-гіперонімом. Однослівні фірмоніми діляться на дві групи з точки зору структури. Перша група – це прості назви, які складаються з одного слова, і його неможливо розкласти на лексеми. Інші фірмоніми – це складні утворення. Їх можна представити у вигляді шести моделей. Наибільш частотні з них – це абревіатури та, власне, сладнозіставні слова. Для iлюстрацiї застосовується англомовний фактичний матеріал.
