Nuclear and Radiation SafetyZusammenfassung: | The paper discusses mathematical modeling in determining the attenuation factor (multiplicity) for gamma equivalent dose rate for material of 200-liter cylindrical containers of ZP 551.040.00.000 and A 2201.00.000 types (safety class 3N) and KRO-200 type (safety class 4N) intended for temporary storage of salt fusion cake at Ukrainian NPPs. The developed mathematical model, which incorporates basic physical processes of gamma-ray scattering and physical characteristics of materials, was employed to calculate the attenuation factors for equivalent dose rate for shells of some real drum containers used at Khmelnitsky NPP. Radiationprotective properties of the containers were analyzed. |
