Shevchenko Chernihiv State Pedagogical University since 1998 have been providing investigations of the archaeological complex situated in Korovel tract near Shestovytsya village not far from Chernihiv. 8 buildings and several manufacture and husbandry pits were researched on the territory of the ancient site of the settlement; study of the remains of the defensive structures of the Kyiv Rus period on the spit of the cape was ongoing.
